Synopsis:
Grace Starling is a witch that has never fit in with her old and prestigious family so she wants nothing more than to settle down and create the type of family she never experienced. Frustrated after a string of mediocre dates, Grace enlists the help of a paranormal matchmaker; and her first match is a success with the handsome and charming Gargoyle, Elliott. Grace finally starts to see an end in sight until it comes out that Elliott, is already mated... to two male gargoyles, Alasdair and Broderick. Now Grace has to decide whether she is open to being courted by not one, but three gargoyles, and whether there is really a space for her amongst the long established triad.
Thoughts:
I always love to see Plus size representation and Grace is the bookish queen we deserve. The story is nothing I haven't read before, but sometimes there is comfort in the predictability. I suppose my biggest problem with it was how the all of the supporting characters felt kind of like NPC's; they were there solely to push the main characters forward. Even the main antagonist's storyline felt disjointed and forced; I seriously couldn't figure out what the endgame was supposed to be. That being said, most of us don't pick up a "Monster Romance" for the plot and as far as book recommendations go, it hits all the marks; wings, tails, knotting, breeding heavy dirty talk, BDE... honestly, my favorite "encounters" didn't even include Grace...Sorry Queen.
Dark Themes/CW:
Stalking/Harassment (not mc), Body shaming, Abduction and threats of SA.
